Creating a Unique Experience
The Avondhu Press, were looking for a workflow system that integrates with both the online and printed edition of the newspaper. That’s when they contacted the team here at Boon. We sat down and worked through their current workflow system and their wish list for their workflow system. Upon agreeing the scope, the build commenced for “Pressroom”. The finished project is a content management and workflow system. The users create, update and delete articles and the editorial team can view these articles in realtime, and make comments which the reporters can view. Once the article is approved by the editorial team, the article is uploaded to the digital edition along with the print edition.
Critical impact on the production process
Pressroom created a number of efficiency improvements for the team at the Avondhu Press. Pressroom is now an integral part of the production process in the Avondhu.
